2014 Michigan APF State Meet Complete!
Wow, what a meet! 80 lifters – 10.5 hours – from first lift to end of awards. The competition was fierce and the whole day flew by. If anyone still has any doubts that Michigan APF runs the fastest, smoothest, most supercalifragilisticexpialidoc
One thousand and one thanks to our fantastic spotters and loaders, on loan from the GVSU Strength Club, along with the great David Peltz who did a amazing job and worked at break neck speed as we flew through the day. Thanks to our 3 judges who worked tirelessly to ensure a fair and just meet. Our meet promoter, Ezra Salmon, and the fantastic venue he secured, as well as all he does to promote the sport and the federation.
We of course cannot forget, hell, his voice is still ringing in my head, our most exalted and blessed by the Blarney announcer, Jerome Cook. Jerome did an amazing job getting the crowd going and truly made the meet what it was.
If you set a state record at the meet, you must claim your record using the online form on the Michigan APF website. We do not automatically scan the results and allocate records. You must request the record yourself. State Record Submission
We took full video of the meet, and it will be posted to the Michigan APF youtube page over the next week as we process and edit it.

Also, If anyone finds a black sweatshirt from Almont High School Powerlifting please let us know. It was lost at the meet and we’re trying to find it to return it to its home.
